Description

Our client is an established and successful Construction business currently looking to recruit an Assistant Health & Safety Manager. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for driving Health & Safety forward throughout the workforce, implementing ideas, and ensuring a safe working environment for all.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) and have experience within a Health & Safety capacity. The business is looking for someone who has the right ‘can-do’ attitude along with a willingness to develop their skills and knowledge within the Health & Safety industry.

Assistant Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To assist the Compliance Manager in ensuring the company is legally compliant and following current Health & Safety legislation
  • To continuously liaise with the workforce to attain a consistent approach to Health & Safety across all sites and satellite offices
  • To keep the company up to date with legislative requirements, updating relevant policies and procedures where necessary
  • To undertake & record accident investigations and risk assessments as and when required
  • To ensure all record-keeping is maintained in line with ISO 9001

Assistant Health & Safety Manager Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Experience within Health & Safety in some capacity (essential)
  • NEBOSH General or equivalent (very advantageous)
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office

  • Package: £20,000 - £25,000 + Benefits (28 days holiday, pension, generous health cash plan, profit share scheme, etc)
