Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a rapidly expanding construction business based in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will hold health, safety and environmental experience within the construction sector, be NEBOSH qualified and possess strong communication skills.

Working on large projects the successful Health and Safety Advisor will working closely with the Health & Safety Manager to complete all tasks. This significant but hugely positive challenge will include writing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements and creating proposals as appropriate for subsequent changes in the culture and operations of Health and Safety across the business and implementing transformation of change and initiatives.

Package: £35k + 4k Car allowance, Pension scheme, 22 days holiday, childcare vouchers

The Opportunity

  • Act as a focal point within the company on health and safety issues
  • Develop, communicate, maintain and review company Health & Safety & Environmental (HSQE) Management Systems
  • Attend regular client, contractor and internal meetings
  • Write and review risk assessments and Method statements
  • Carry out regular audits, inspections and site visits
  • Carrying out accident investigations and route course analysis
  • Support the transition from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001 the new standard.

The Requirements

  • Experience within Civil Engineering, Construction or Utilities
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards)
  • IEMA member is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong I.T Skills
