Description

Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Officer to join an waste management business on a permanent basis in Guildford covering the Surrey and Hampshire region. The ideal candidate will have experience within a waste, recycling or heavy plant sector, hold a NEBOSH qualification and have operated at a managerial level.

This is a practical hands-on role which will require the checking and compliance of all Health & Safety related issues

The Opportunity

  • Work closely with the Health & Safety Compliance Officer
  • ISO Compliance (90001, 180001, 140001) understanding is advantageous
  • Be Alert , Proactive and Self -Motivated
  • Work in a busy fast paced role while keeping calm in times of pressure
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Report all Health & Safety issues on Site in an efficient and professional manner, in order to reduce the risk of injury to all employees

The Requirements

  • Have Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, (preferably NEBOSH Diploma level) within the Waste or Heavy Plant Industry
  • Be a FULL Member of IOSH
  • Be Alert , Proactive and Self -Motivated
