Description

An international manufacturing company is seeking a Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator to minimise occupational accidents and illnesses and maintain a safe work environment. Key activities to this aim include, conducting detailed risk assessments on a wide range of business activities, ensuring accidents and near miss incidents are thoroughly investigated and providing information, instruction and training on relevant health and safety matters.

You will be NEBOSH (National General Certificate) qualified and have experience in a Manufacturing background. You will need a working knowledge of Internal Auditor Training and understand that the Quality aspect of this role will be your priority.

Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure department activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s:
  • Health and safety management system and statutory legislation
  • ISO 14001 certification and statutory environmental legislation
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene are maintained throughout the site, in compliance with the companies British Retail Consortium and American Institute of Bakers Accreditations
  • Conduct risk assessments of all company activities and ensure appropriate safeguards and controls are implemented to minimise risks
  • Conduct checks throughout all stages of production for quality and compliance with customer specification; conduct positive release for specific customers
  • Conduct laboratory tests, including yield, heat-seal / lamination bond strengths, coefficient of friction, solvent retention and prepare certificates of conformity and analysis

Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Some experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry
  • Maintaining compliance of a quality and hygiene management system
  • HACCPS / Food Safety – Desired not essential
  • Must hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification, NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of conducting Internal audits / Risk assessments.
