Description

We are currently working with a well-established utilities company based in Lancashire. Due to their success and rise in workload, they are looking to hire an experienced Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) to be responsible for the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Assurance side of the business. The successful candidate will hold NEBOSH General (as a minimum), have experience in developing, managing and maintaining Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) management systems and have thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001.

The Opportunity

  • To be accountable for developing & maintaining the Integrated Management Systems (9001, 14001 & 18001)
  • To provide legislative & regulatory advice and provision to fellow employees on all matters relating to SHEQ
  • To be responsible for managing the internal SHEQ audit & inspection processes
  • To monitor the accessibility and suitability of SHEQ information, risk assessments, method statements and safe working practices. Assisting and supporting the management team in the preparation of these documents
  • To advise on compliance with COSHH & CDM regulations

The Requirements

  • NEBOSH General (as a minimum)
  • Experience in a SHEQ management role within the utilities sector (desirable)
  • Thorough knowledge of BSI ISO 9001, 14001 & BSI OHSAS 18001 systems
  • Ability to embrace and drive change
  • Have a smart and professional demeanour
  • Full UK Driving License
