A prestigious waste business, based on the Hampshire/Surrey borders is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to drive performance forward within a highly motivated and successful multi-site organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop, manage and refine the companies systems, driving best practice in all relevant areas.

Key duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively monitor, maintain and prepare risk assessments, method statements, and SSOW
  • Regularly review the SHEQ processes and procedures, carry out site inspections and audits to ensure excellent levels of compliance are maintained in accordance with company standards, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental standards comply with UK legislation, legal requirements, and company policy
  • Proactively develop and manage systems and procedures to ensure continued compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, FORS, CLOCS, CHAS, and OHSAS standards
  • Ensure employees are trained to company standards and that all training is recorded in line with company procedures

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification
  • A firm understanding of waste and/or recycling processes
  • Experience in waste/recycling, or a similar process-driven industry sector
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence people in all areas of the business
  • Strong written and reporting abilities

Salary £40k - £50k
